Going Above and Beyond Is Why Jake Is an AllSouth AllStar

Jake's willingness to go above and beyond when it comes to helping our members is why he is our featured AllSouth AllStar this month. Anyone who works with him and his supervisors describes him as being compassionate and driven, with a high work ethic. He looks for opportunities to grow professionally, exudes a can-do attitude, and always has a smile on his face.
 
Jake is one of our Member Service Representatives. In this role, he helps members open new accounts, submits loan applications, and assists with other day-to-day branch operations. Jake has only been with AllSouth for two years; however, in this short time, he has been able to make a significant impact on the members he serves.

During this time, Jake met a family that was going through the adoption process. For some, starting a family can be an expensive endeavor. The family Jake was working with had many expenses related to the adoption.  They didn't want to use all of their savings to cover them. After listening to their concerns, he was able to find a solution that was best suited for their situation, and that could help supply them with the funds needed for the adoption. Because they would need immediate access to funds continually throughout the process, a credit card seemed best rather than a personal loan.   Our Visa® Platinum Card with an extended introductory rate provided the funds they needed for the adoption at a lower cost. "We have many credit cards, but this particular credit card allowed them to cover their expenses over time without having to worry about paying high-interest rates," said Jake. "I'm happy to report that they were able to adopt a baby girl a few months ago, and they are all very happy."

There are many more stories like this.  Jake often helps members find solutions that best fit them.   Many examples include assisting members in moving away from payday lending to more beneficial and cost-saving solutions, finding ways to save with money markets and certificates, and helping them buy cars for their growing families.

"I like that my job allows me to help people. I enjoy helping people with their finances and being there to help make life possible for our members. I'm also very lucky and thankful to work with a team of wonderful people every day. I believe AllSouth offers excellent products and services that provide solutions. And I enjoy getting to introduce AllSouth to new members when I open their accounts," said Jake when talking about his work.
