    Our October AllStar is known for her exceptional listening skills and caring personality. Briauna began her journey with AllSouth as a teller in our Cayce branch. Now, three years later, Briauna is a member service representative (MSR). Let’s learn more about Briauna.


    Briauna became a member with AllSouth as a teenager. She recalls visiting her local branch as a teen to deposit her paychecks from her first job. Briauna knew that she wanted to work in the financial industry. “I wanted to work for a credit union or bank so I could be more knowledgeable. Financial literacy wasn't taught in school, so I didn't have a lot of exposure to it when I was younger. Since I started working at the Credit Union, I've learned about different types of accounts, loans, and credit cards,” she said.

    Since becoming an MSR, Briauna helps members open accounts, performs account maintenance, and assists members with other account-related issues that come up.  What she enjoys most is having the opportunity to dive deeper with members and help them reach their financial goals. Often times, she is helping members understand their finances, like their available balance, how to use Online and Mobile Banking, and access other financial resources that are available. Other times, members are looking for someone to talk to – which Briauna enjoys.

She remains committed to her professional growth and is not afraid to take on new responsibilities or duties when needed. Briauna has built a very strong rapport with our members over the past three years, and numerous members come in the branch specifically to see her."

    Briauna acts as a resource for members when they visit the branch. Since she is a member as well, she has a unique experience of using the same products, accounts, and services that she is providing to members. Briauna shared that having a Certificate, using Online and Mobile Banking, and other tools like our Loan Calculator has made her a better MSR. She can address questions at a higher level because she has firsthand experience with the same products and services as our members.

    When asked what the best part of her job is, Briauna shared that she enjoys working at AllSouth because the priority is placed on service and building a relationship with the member. She describes AllSouth as being "people-oriented" and that employees are encouraged to suggest products or services that are personally beneficial to the members.

     

    "Briauna was very patient with me when I first started with AllSouth. She was my trainer and did an amazing job. To this day she is still very helpful and works well with everyone at the Cayce Branch. She has made a positive impact with several members as well who will specifically request her to assist them when they visit our branch. Briauna is definitely an asset to AllSouth."

    Briauna described the culture at AllSouth as very family-oriented and close-knit. As an MSR, Briauna has trained various tellers in the Cayce branch. Because of the close-knit dynamic of the Cayce branch, Briauna has built friendships with her fellow coworkers.

    She also credits her time at AllSouth for teaching her how to manage her own money. Briauna mentioned that a fellow MSR at the Cayce branch taught her to "pay herself first." She has started building her savings by automatically setting aside a percentage of her paycheck. "Many Americans don't have $500 saved for emergencies, so I want to prioritize building my savings," she said.

    In her free time, Briauna enjoys reading non-fiction, personal growth, and spiritual books. She also likes to spend time with her family.
